Hold Cast
Hold began as an original hand carving in Portland limestone, made up of a series of concentric circles, each precisely carved around a single point.
This version is cast in Jesmonite from the original carving, preserving the subtle tool marks and texture of the stone. The soft pink surface is contrasted with gold, which catches the light across the concentric forms and creates an almost hypnotic optical effect.
The title Hold reflects the idea of holding on, offering strength and support, and the comfort of holding someone close.

Larger jesmonite casts are shipped in purpose built, foam lined, wooden shipping crates to ensure they arrive with you in perfect condition.
Smaller pieces are shipped in cardboard boxes.
They are individually are hand made to order, so reasonable shipping times have been given.

Cast in Jesmonite, a mixture of resin and gypsum, these beautiful casts pick up all the fine detail of the chisel marks seen in the original carving.
Each one is signed and has the edition number.
Wall pieces have have two simple fixings in the back allowing them to be easily hung on screws in the wall.
