Fold is hand carved in Welsh slate reclaimed from an old snooker table, a beautiful piece of stone that I have used to create a number of works over the years.
This piece was an experiment with deep V cut carving, using precisely cut lines to create a strong geometric form. The depth of the carving allows light and shadow to shift across the surface, giving the pattern an almost three dimensional quality.

Created using only a mallet and chisel this carved stone plaque is ideal for hanging on a wall.
It has a metal bracket fixed into the back of the stone and comes with a corresponding bracket to screw into the wall.
Once your wall bracket is level and secure the stone can be lowered on top of it so the two brackets connect.
