How to Hang?

Each Jesmonite cast comes with fixings inserted into the jermonite on the back. All that is required is two screws on the wall in the corresponding possitions to easily and securely hang the casts.

Casting in jesmonite allows for a much lighter end product. The weight of each individual cast is given with the details, should you need to know specifically.

The casts are designed to be hung indoors, however they can be made suitable for hanging outside by using a slightly different formula of Jesmonite. If this is something you’d like to know more about, please email Zoë using the contact form button below.

What is Jesmonite?

Jesmonite was invented by Peter Hawkin in the early 1980’s. It is made up from a combination of a reactive mineral base and a pure water based acrylic resin.

It is fantastically strong and can be poured into a mould. It is possible to colour it and create a wide range of textured finishes.

Zoë’s Jesmonite are casts made be the incredibly talented team at Greenacres Studios in Montgomery. Emma and her team have worked with the material for over 10 years and has an incredible knowledge of the materials capabilities and limitations. She has a wicked eye for detail making her and her team the perfect people to work with.

The Joy of the bespoke

One of the great things about working with Jemonite are the endless posibilites of colour. Zoë is always happy to discuss how to taylor work to suit your specific colour pallet in your interior space.

There are also different possibilites to have a hand painted finish as well. Zoë enjoys gilding the casts as well as using Craigs gold to paint them. She has also matched Farrow and Ball colours to paint individual elements…the possibilites are endless!

Please contact Zoë if you have an idea you’d like to discuss further.

Whilst jesmonite is strong we like to make sure it arrives with you in pristine conditions.
